A table, four chairs and a water bottle were placed in the space. Each student had a chance to enter the space and give one chair more power than anything else. After maximum power was achieved, the students themselves took turns entering the space and claiming\/taking power for themselves. Thank goodness the ceiling limited us; otherwise, the students would have reached the sky like Yertle the Turtle! The discussion afterwards was especially interesting, since it gave students a chance to think about language and power &#8211; the topic we are studying &#8211; in a more abstract way.
