ABIS Ramadan Guidelines
As an International school, ABIS will operate normally during Ramadan, though it will make some adjustments to respect our Omanis and host country. All fasting students are expected to attend school so that learning is not negatively affected.
1) Fasting students will be given a comfortable location to go to where they can meet and pray, especially at lunch and break times, or when they would normally have music, dance or PE.
2) There will be no requirement for any fasting student to participate in any practical music lessons, dance, sports or exercise. Students may be asked to attend a theory based lesson as long as they have adequate (at least one period) rest time per da
3) Fasting students will be expected in school until 12:40 though they are encouraged to stay longer if they feel able. We would expect the older students to participate for the whole day if this is manageable.
Children who are fasting needs to be collected from 12:40 to 1:20pm . If you want to pick up your children earlier than this, then you must inform the homeroom teacher in advance.
If students are not collected by 1.20pm they are expected to remain in school in classes until 3.20pm to avoid disruption to other students, classes and teaching.
4) Students should be picked up from the LC3 and signed out with Ms. Eiman.
5) Non fasting students and staff will be asked to show respect for other fasting students when eating, drinking and dressing.
6) Out of respect there will be no public singing and dancing performances – though music, dance and PE classes will go on as usual for non fasting students in their regular places.
7) External exams (Grade 10 and 12 only) are run internationally meaning that students are required to take them at the allocated time. Other exams and tests will be scheduled with as much as consideration as possible by the school, though fasting students may still be required to sit examinations in the afternoon. If this is the case, the school will allocate rest and recovery times for students before these exams.
Whilst the school is very respectful of students fasting, we are hopeful that it will be done in a way appropriate to age of the student so that they do not endanger their health. We have been informed that partial fasting, may be normal for younger children, who are learning to fast. In the Primary school, we will assume your child is not fasting, unless you have informed the class teacher that they are.

السلام عليكم و رحمة الله تعالى و بركاته
كمدرسة دولية، سوف تستمر مدرسة الباطنة العالمية كالعادة باتباع نفس الجدول الزمني خلال شهر رمضان الكريم، ولكن المدرسة ستقوم ببعض التعديلات احتراما للعمانيين بالمدرسة و للبلد المضيف( سلطنة عمان)،ومن المتوقع أن يحضر كل تلاميذ المدرسة حتى لا يكون هناك تأثيرا سلبيا على تعلمهم .
هذه التعديلات كما يلي:
1) سيتم تخصيص مكان مريح يمكن أن يجتمع الطلاب الصائمون معا في وقت الاستراحة أو لأداء فريضة الصلاة ، أو عندما تكون لديهم عادة دروس الموسيقى أو الرقص أو الرياضة .
2) لا يلزم أي طالب صائم المشاركة في أي الدروس العملية من دروس الموسيقى، أو الرقص، أو الرياضة فقط سيكون هناك حصة واحدة في الاسبوع فقط كحصة نظرية في الموسيقى (قراءة مواضيع فقط) بدون اي استماع او عزف للموسيقى .
3) يتوقع من الطلبة الصائمين البقاء في المدرسة حتى الساعة 12:40 ، لكننا نشجعهم على البقاء لفترة أطول إذا كانوا يشعرون بالقدرة على ذلك. ونتمنى أن يبقى الطلاب الأكبر سنا في المدرسة حتى نهاية اليوم الدراسي .
4) في حالة رغبة ولي الأمر بأخذ ابنه / ابنته قبل نهاية الدوام الرسمي عليه الالتزام بفترة الخروج وهي من 12:40 الى 1:20 مساء وفي حالة رغبة ولي الأمر في أخذ أبنه قبل هذا الوقت لابد من التنسيق مع معلم الصف واخطاره مسبقا علما بأنه في حالة تأخر ولي الأمر عن الساعة 1:20 فعلى الطالب إكمال اليوم الدراسي حتى الساعة 3:20
5) يتم أخذ الطلاب من مبنى الإدارة LC3 والتوقيع باستلام الطلاب
6) يحترم الطلاب والموظفين الغير صائمين الطلاب والموظفين الصائمين وذلك عند الأكل والشرب و اللباس.
7) لن يكون هناك غناء أو رقص أو حفلات احتراما للطلاب الصائمين ، على الرغم من أن دروس الموسيقى والرقص و الرياضة سوف تستمر كالمعتاد للطلاب الغير صائمين في الأماكن المعتادة..
8) بالنسبة للاختبارات النهائية الخارجية للصفوف (5- 10) سواء كانت اختبارات الوزارة أو الاختبارات الدولية فإنها تنفذ حسب الوقت المحدد دوليا ولا يمكن تغيير مواعيدها ، وفي حالة أداء بعض الطلاب للامتحانات في وقت الظهيرة سيتم مراعاة الطلبة الصائمين من خلال توفير أوقات استراحة قبل الامتحان.
ونحن نحترم الطلاب الصائمين ونتمنى لكم شهر مبارك وبالنسبة لطلاب المرحلة الابتدائية بحيث لا تعرض صحتهم للخطر على ولي الأمر إبلاغ المعلم بمدى صيام الطفل من عدمه وذلك حتى يتمكن من مساعدة الطالب.
