What is CAS?

CAS stands for Creativity, Action, Service. It is a core aspect of the International Baccalaureate Organisation’s goal to help students develop into rounded and balanced individuals. It complements the school’s academic programmes and aims to draw out each student’s creativity and self expression, as well as make them fitter and healthier individuals, and encourages them to provide service to others and the community. A significant outcome of the CAS programme is that students gain a powerful sense of self worth and humility, which when combined with their increased confidence and ability, enables them to contribute to the betterment of humanity.

CAS projects can vary hugely and the school’s CAS coordinator and advisory team are responsible for guiding students on selecting and often initiating projects that foster their own development and make a positive contribution to the school community and host country.
